Lil Nas X Breaks Billboard Record


Via Complex News On Monday (July 29), Billboard announced that the Georgia rapper's "Old Town Road" has officially broken the Billboard Hot 100 record for most weeks spent at No. 1 on the chart after it landed atop the chart for the 17th time. Lil Nas X tied the Billboard record last week, but now, he's officially moved past Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber ("Despacito," 2017) and Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men ( "One Sweet Day," 1996) to take sole hold on the Billboard Hot 100 record.



Congrats to Nas X aka Montero Lamar Hill, known professionally as Lil Nas X, who is an American singer, rapper, and songwriter. He came to international attention for his country rap breakout single "Old Town Road", which achieved viral popularity on the video sharing app TikTok in early 2019. via Wikipedia
